At the beginning of the school year, I wrote a blog about Super Student Posters from ReallyGoodStuff.com. I hadn’t tried them out yet. I wasn’t sure how successful the posters would be.
I want to let you know that the posters were a success. By requiring students to do a rough draft, answering the questions in complete sentences, I was able to get an idea of student writing abilities very quickly. I was surprised by how uniquely the superheroes were drawn and decorated. It gave me insight into personalities, interests, creativity, likes, and dislikes. Now I have colorful classroom walls decorated with these posters.
The kids are often taking a look at the posters, reading them, and learning about all the students in the classes I teach.
