Picnic

A popular spot is the picnic area. Picnic sites include grills, tables and shady trees. In the middle of the area is a grassy field; great for bocce ball, Frisbee, catch, and any other traditional outdoor games you like to play.

Trails

Five trails can be found at Spring Mountain Ranch. They range from about 1.5 miles to less than half a mile long. One trail is a loop that goes around Lake Harriet. It’s a perfect spot for getting pictures of the lake and Red Rock Mountains. Click here for the Spring Mountain Ranch Trail Map.

Super Summer Theatre

One of the best reasons to visit Spring Mountain Ranch is the Super Summer Theatre. Bring a tarp, a blanket and snacks because you get to sit on the ground to watch a show under the stars.

Little Owl’s Tips:

Even though you may have been sweating it all day in the summer heat, you want to bring a jacket because it does get chilly.

Arrive early to stake out the best spot.

Be sure to buy your tickets in advance. If you don’t buy your tickets in advance, you risk showing up to a sold out show.

Summer 2014 productions:

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Shrek the Musical

Arsenic and Old Lace
