Morning Race

Moving into a home with stairs has created a whole new competitive outlet for my girls. Whenever they are going up or down the stairs, it is a race.

They didn’t always get along like this. I adopted my cat, Mayu, a year before I adopted LeeLoo. It was a bit of chaos when I brought the dog home. LeeLoo wanted so badly to chase Mayu, and Mayu just couldn’t understand why she had to share her home with a big, goofy dog.

I kept one room in my house as the cat’s sanctuary. At first, I kept the door to the room closed so the cat couldn’t get out and the dog couldn’t go in. With time, I kept the door open and put a baby gate up instead. This allowed the cat to decide whether or not she wanted to come out. Luckily, LeeLoo didn’t try to get in.

After about a year and a half, the cat owned the whole place again.
